Write Away

Are you…

  • Tired of staring at your never-ending to-do list wishing you had time to finish it all?

  • Have a project that you need to finish but having trouble locating the motivation to get it done?

  • Constantly writing but never feel like you actually get to a finished draft?

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably (trying to) juggle:

  • Updating and actually using your weekly planner.

  • Working on 2-3 research projects/papers.

  • Grading student assignments.

  • Navigating all my email accounts.

  • Paying bills and updating loan paperwork (just me?)

Either way, it seems like the to-do list is endless!

I get it, it can be difficult to sit down to write or do the tedious tasks.

Here’s what I know for sure:

  1. Getting shit done doesn’t have to complicated.

  2. Great writing doesn’t happen in isolation.

  3. We all need a kick-in-the-butt every now in then to get sh*t done.

Imagine Having:

  • Dedicated time to work on things you keep putting off but really need to get done.

  • A supportive group holding you accountable to actually working on your goals.

  • Helpful tips and strategies that actually help you get more sh*t done.

Friend, that’s exactly what I’ll be showing you!

It’s an accountability group that motivates you to write. Plus it includes amazing women of color who are doing amazing things. It’s inspiring...I was able to accomplish progress on my Chapter 3 and get into a rhythm of writing.

The Write Away group is a supportive space where you can come together with other scholars who are working on a variety of tasks. It provides built-in accountability. Even if you hadn’t done anything all week, you know you will have two dedicated hours to work on your to-do list...I was able to finish my literature review excel spreadsheet for the next section of my literature review and I started writing the section. A community of scholars to motivate, support, and hold you accountable for reaching your goals...These past four weeks I was able to make significant progress on my [reasearch paper] prospectus, more than I had made in the previous 3 months combined!

I would describe this group as a refreshing accountability group. I appreciate the motivational videos to begin our time together. I also appreciate the check-ins so we can be honest with ourselves about how we are going to spend the two hours...During the past 4 weeks, I have consistently set aside time to focus on either my dissertation proposal or prepping for my spring semester courses. This includes work on chapter 1 of my dissertation proposal, and finishing 1 syllabus and making significant progress on the 2nd one.
